FREEDOM

FREEDOM

Dan and I sometimes take walks around the neighborhood.  I enjoy the view with all the nature that surrounds us.  I feel free to walk up to the animals that gaze the fields and look them in the eye into their souls.  It gives me a peace of understanding that life is a cycle and nature is here for us to enjoy and not take for granted.

We have the best of both worlds, the mountains and the fields combined with the pleasure of the sounds of birds, roosters roosting, cows mooing, and horses Neerggghhhhhfffff along with the dogs barking.

Mexico is not any different than a lot of places in the states.  The land is combined with mountains, beaches and deserts depending on the area you may visit.  Where I am living we are as high as Denver, however the weather is quite different.  The weather average is 86 degrees and rains only at night during the rainy season.  Wait, I take it back about 90 per cent of the time it rains at night and 10 per cent during the day.  Perfect for Dan and I to take walks around.

Enjoy the day, stop and enjoy the roses.

Memorial Day HERE IN MEXICO

 Memorial Day HERE IN MEXICO

Here in Chapala, Mexico there are a lot of veterans and they have an American Legion Club.  So why not celebrate the day with all the Americans that fought for our freedom in honor of the good old USA.

Although, Dan and I were not in the military, our friend invited us to the American Legion.  I was honored to celebrate a day that is flagged on our calendars and to remember the soldiers that fought and died to protect freedom.

Most of you all do not realize that there are several thousand vets living abroad, especially here in Mexico.  I have met some that were in different wars and have paid a tremendous cost.  We tend to forget the chemicals that they had to endure, which is an everlasting effect on their lives, such as Agent Orange.

Celebrating with fabulous food and entertainment our appetite was compromised for there was no organic foods.  To tell a secret we cheated and had roast pig and baked beans with corn on the cob.  It’s what you would call an all American meal.

As we go forward, let’s take a moment and if you see someone on the street needing help that went to war remember that they endured the sacrifice to protect our nation.

Enjoy the pictures and mini movie.

MY LAST CRY FOR HELP

MY LAST CRY FOR HELP

Thinking back to when we were a child, do you remember ever having a pet turtle?  Well, it hit me the other week and how much I wanted to go back to those days and enjoy my pet turtle.  So off to the pet store I went and there were turtles and supplies for them.  I was overjoyed with laughter for now I have my pet turtle.  The pet store clerk gave me a brief lesson on how to take care of them. I purchased two plus a little aquarium (like a bowel that I had when I was a child with a palm tree and steps for them to get out of the water.) He told me that the turtles will only live up to five months.

Life is like this; you sometimes begin what you intend to do prior to doing the research.  I went home after and did some research and saw that the turtles needed a bigger home and healthy foods. The small bowels are called death bowels.  I learned what to do to keep them around for a long time with a quality of life.  I went back to the pet store and got a larger aquarium with healthier food and even a filter.  Now, I know that my turtles will be happier. They are able to swim and exercise with more room to enjoy life.

My last cry for help is about sharing what I have learned with my experiences with cancer and much like my turtles trying to educate the public on what other treatments that are out there without side effects.  We go to the doctor and he tells us we have cancer and without researching we believe what he says and go along with it because others do and the insurance will only pay for what he says.  This is why I am doing this petition, because I know that there are other types of treatments that work and are not paid by the insurance companies.  I want others to have this quality of life without cut, burn or poison and side effects.  Please join me and lets change the mode of chemo and radiation for they are still experimenting on us with this type of treatment, why not be experimenting with other ways without side effects and have the insurance companies pay for those .

Research and remember that knowledge is power, so until we change the way of treatments, people will suffer with the side effects and chemicals that are given to them.  With the numbers each day that die of cancer, these may be your friends, family or even you some day.  Let’s change this and stand up with me and sign this petition and make a difference.  You are a drop, but together we are an ocean.
